Content Licensing & Asset Usage at Adguns
At Adguns, commercially licensed content is a non-negotiable part of our production process. Every visual, sound, template, and AI-generated asset is selected, reviewed, and applied with usage rights in mind — ensuring our partners can confidently launch campaigns across digital channels.
This page provides a transparent overview of the content sources we use and how licensing is handled.
Client-Provided Assets
When assets are supplied directly by our clients, we assume that the necessary rights and licenses have been secured.
Our approach:
- We use the materials exactly as provided.
- We do not independently verify licensing unless specifically requested.
- Responsibility for securing appropriate rights remains with the asset owner unless licensing review is explicitly requested from Adguns.
💡 If you would like us to review licensing before production, we’re happy to support that as an additional step.
Assets Provided by Adguns
We prioritize commercially licensed, industry-recognized platforms to minimize legal exposure and ensure brand-safe campaign delivery.
1. Shutterstock – Visual Content
License: Standard License
We use Shutterstock primarily for images, graphics, and selected visual elements.
What this covers:
- Digital advertising
- Online campaigns
- Social media
- Websites
⚠️ Important note:
The Standard license has limitations outside digital environments (for example print, merchandise, or certain large-scale physical placements).
If a project requires extended rights (such as print, merchandise, or large-scale physical placements), upon request we need to secure the appropriate license tier or source alternative assets before deployment (please inform us about the extended usage before project starts).
2. Artlist – Music, SFX, Footage
License: Pro License
Artlist is our primary source for music, sound effects, and selected video assets.
Key principles:
- Projects created with Artlist assets can be delivered to clients for commercial use.
- Clients are covered through the final delivered project.
- Assets must remain embedded within the production and cannot be redistributed separately.
⚠️ Additional considerations:
Certain high-scale uses (for example large out-of-home or billboard deployments) may require expanded licensing. We review these scenarios case by case.
3. YouTube Audio Library – Music for YouTube Ads
We occasionally use tracks from the YouTube Audio Library when producing ads specifically for YouTube.
Scope:
- Intended for content published on YouTube
- Safe for monetization within the platform
⚠️ Important:
These tracks are typically not used for multi-platform campaigns.
If a campaign extends beyond YouTube, we source music from broader commercial libraries instead.
4. AI-Generated Content (e.g., Google Flow / Veo, Kling)
We incorporate AI-generated visuals and media where appropriate.
Approach:
- Used only where commercial usage is permitted.
- Reviewed to ensure compliance with platform terms.
- Applied as part of original creative production rather than standalone assets.
As AI licensing continues to evolve, we actively monitor policy changes and adjust workflows accordingly.
All AI-generated content is reviewed by our team before delivery to ensure suitability for commercial use.
5. Envato Elements – Creative Assets
License: Commercial
Used occasionally for templates, design elements, and supporting creative materials.
Key rule:
Assets are licensed per project and embedded into the final deliverables. This ensures commercial safety while maintaining compliance with the platform’s licensing model.
6. Unsplash & Pixabay – Supplemental Imagery
Licenses: Pixabay and Unsplash
Used selectively, typically for low-risk or supporting visuals.
Characteristics:
- Commercial use permitted
- No attribution required
While these sources are legally usable, we apply additional internal judgment when selecting imagery for paid campaigns to ensure brand safety and appropriateness.
7. AudioJungle – Music & Sound Effects
License: Standard (Regular License)
We occasionally source music tracks and sound effects from AudioJungle when specific creative needs cannot be fulfilled through our primary libraries.
License model:
Most AudioJungle assets are licensed under the Standard (Regular) License, which permits use in a single end product delivered to a client.
Key principles:
- Each asset is licensed for one end product only.
- Assets are embedded within the final production and are not redistributed separately.
- The license allows commercial client work, provided the asset is not reused across multiple projects or clients.
- If a project requires broader rights (for example paid end products, large-scale distribution, or extended commercial scenarios), the appropriate Extended License needs to be secured prior to deployment.
⚠️ Important:
AudioJungle licenses cannot be reused across different client projects. When the same track or sound is required for another campaign, a new license is obtained to ensure full compliance.
Project-Based Licensing Philosophy
Licensing at Adguns is project-driven – meaning usage rights are aligned to how the asset will actually be used.
For example:
- If we are producing digital ads → licensing is secured for advertising use.
- If a campaign later expands into print or physical placements → licensing is reassessed before deployment.
Our priority is ensuring that the license fully covers the actual scope of work, rather than over-licensing for hypothetical scenarios.
Custom Assets & Platforms
When projects require specialized assets, platforms, or production methods, we select licensing solutions tailored specifically to that use case and project.
Our internal rule is simple:
👉 The license must fully support how the asset will be used.
If it doesn’t – (upon request) we upgrade it, replace it, or source an alternative.
